I'm new here and fairly new to breadmaking. My wife and I have only been doing it for about six months, but we both really love it and I just thought that I'd share one of our more successful recipes.
Carmelized Onion and Chipotle Bread
Ingredients 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast 1/4 cup lukewarm water 1 teaspoon sugar 1 cup water 1 teaspoon salt 3 1/2 cups flour (unbleached) 1 egg (large, beaten) 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 large sweet onion (finely chopped) 1 can chipotles (seeded and diced) 1/8 cup reserved adobo sauce from chipotles
Directions
This came about when we wanted something other than cornbread or crackers to eat with chili. It's got a good smoky flavor and just a little heat. I'd have a picture, but it went fast (we have friends over for dinner). It's got a nice yellow color to the interior and the smell is amazing. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks

Welcome
Your recipe is very interesting and I'm looking forward to giving it a try. So, how big is that can of chipotles?
