Amish friendship bread ,what to do with all the leftover starters?

 

I was wondering if I could just not add the cup of flour, sugar, and milk on the 9th day and that way I wouldn't have the extra starters that have to be given away?

I just make more breads and

I just make more breads and freeze them.  There are so many yummy variations and they freeze beautifully.  They come in real handy when I need a quick something for unexpected guests or hostess gifts or food for the shut ins.
