The Perfect Loaf, Digital copy is on sale $2.99!

The Perfect Loaf by Maurizio Leo is on sale on Amazon for $2.99 Digital Only (Kindle Edition). Normally goes for $14.99 (digital).

I just wanted to let people know. The physical copy is on my wish list since I don't have a tablet. Although I may get one so I don't have to lug my recipe books with me when I travel for the holidays. Any recommendations for an android tablet?  ;-)

Edit: it was only a 1 day sale. Nuts, nuts, nuts. Maybe that will motivate me next time.

I just bought the book.

I suggest you consider a ChromeBook rather than an Android tablet. Android apps run on it and you can use the web browser just like on any laptop. The Kindle reader works great either way.

We had a Samsung ChromeBook that wasn't that old but we were informed that it would no longer be supported with updates. Is that common with ChromeBooks?

We opted for a Windows 11 notebook as a replacement. Microsoft seems better at supporting older operating systems (we also still have a Windows 10 laptop).

The new ones have support for about 6 years. The cheapest ones you can find are often older models that don't have support for many more years.

You can find the ending date for support here: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6220366?hl=en#

I'd rather a tablet. A laptop runs the risk of being bent the wrong way... my kids are a bit spastic at times. Google play has some good educational games for kids, but they are for tablets not phones. So I guess it would be mostly for my use, with some kid use. I would definitely those kid bumpers on it though.

Thanks for the info. It is now part of my my ever-growing library of bread eBooks.

If you have a PC, there is a free Kindle app for PCs so you can read Kindle books on that platform. It doesn't help with portability, but it does allow you to read them until you get a tablet.

I might do that for now, when it goes back on sale that it. Turns out it was only a 1-day sale, darn it.
