Corn Bread

Here's a Canadian's first attempt at corn bread. It turned out extremely well. I baked them in a stoneware dish that has spaces for four loaves. The other two were promptly eaten with dinner. I wrote more about the recipe here: http://jeremyskitchen.wordpress.com/2008/05/04/corn-bread/ Any suggestions for my next baking project?

That looks great! You certainly have the knack for knowing when to remove it from the oven. I usually over bake these and the top splits. Good job.

Looking for ideas? check out the favorite recipes on the left column. Honey Whole Wheat is a good one my family likes.

Cheers,
Eric

I got good at knowing when to remove things from the oven by baking cheesecakes. I used to have to make 20 - 40 of them a day at a bakery I worked at. You get very good at knowing when to rotate, turn, and remove things from an oven. Also, you get an uncanny ability to set your internal alarm to be able to catch things at just the right moment.
