Bread Volcano!

I just opened th oven and burst out laughing... Looks like my boule might have been a bit underproofed 'cuz it practically exploded in the oven. Silly looking for sure. Hopefully it'll be tasty though!

I love the pattern from the banneton though.

It definitely was tasty. I brought it to my parent's for dinner last night and it was almost completely gone within about 10 minutes (just a little olive oil and cracked pepper on top).

Crumb was good but not exceptional. It had some nice air pockets near the bottom, but further from the stone the crumb was a bit finer and more regular.
