what a coincidence, I just saw the recipe for the first time yesterday, and here it is baked and ready to devour! I saved the recipe. You did a beautiful job. I can't wait to try one myself.
start taking the tile off my counter tops last weekend. I have been complaining about them for years (dough gets stuck in the grout and is a PAIN to clean out, so I have to use a mat to do dough on). Anyway, I came home one day to find a grinning husband surrounded by pea sized pieces of tile ; all over the floor, in all the cabinets, the light fixture etc., and a nice layer of white dust on every surface in the house. Those home shows on TV makes it look like you just go in there with a flat point shovel and a sledge hammer and it comes right off. Well this was appearantly GOOD glue! He said smiling" I thought I might start on your new counters this weekend!!". I am grateful for a husband with carpenter skills, but with a little warning I would have loved to of packed up and moved a few things! Oh well, gotta love 'em! I hope to report in about 3 weeks a new surface to rolls dough and be "bake" in business! I have your challah on my list of things to do when I get my kitchen back. I can hardly wait. You did a beautiful job on the challah. I love to braid, and I just found a guy on utube that makes it look easy. I posted it under alligator braid. Jac, I will check in with you as soon!
This is like one of those beautiful cakes, that's so beautiful you don't want to ruin it by eating it,.........but then again if I could just please have just a little bite...........
It looks scrumptious...thanks for the beautiful post! Beth
Thanks! Yes, I also love the way challah (actually, bread in general) looks and smells right when it comes out of the oven. I hope you'll be able to give this bread a try :)
Does it taste as good as it looks? YUMMY!
