Any issue with doing more than 3 builds when building up a levain

Hi! 

I have seen (especially Dabrownman) and followed with great interest how to build up a levain for sourdough baking.

My question is: Typically there are 3 builds. Why 3? If one were to do 6 builds let's say, how would that affect the overall outcome?
