My first english muffins...

Some pics of my first shot at english muffins. I used the recipe from Bread Baker's Apprentice, which is for a relatively stiff dough. Some have said that a batter-type dough gives better crumb, but I think these turned out pretty well. Splitting them with a fork was key. I burned the first few, but got the hang of it eventually. The "medium" heat recommended in the recipe was definitely way too high on my stove. Very low was more like it!
