FOUND: Bosch Mixer in good condition and/or attachments too

I was sent the wrong attachment for the oat flaker I bought. I believe it was designed for Bosch. With some looking around, it seems this can be used on all Bosch mixers but it might need a bit of creative propping to get it to stand on its side properly.

I have an older version of the Anksarum mixer I use all the time and a second mixer I use for those special things I can't do in the other mixer, the KA Pro. I'm thinking of giving my son the KA now that he's out in the professional world and loves to cook. Since KA is the most common, it's probably the one to gift out.

That leads me to the Bosch. With the type of cooking and baking I do, I think this would be the compliment I need for baking.

So, if you have one and are ready to give it up, I might be a buyer. I can find them locally and on ebay, but I thought I would ask here too.

Attachments I am most interested in:

Cake/cookie paddles
Sifter
Stainless steel bowl
Bowl Scraper
Dough hook extenders

While I don't have anything to sell, I do have two suggestions.

1. There is a fairly new, one piece stainless steel dough hook with the extender molded right into it. Look into this instead of the separate plastic part. `

2. Regarding the stainless steel bowls, there are two different types available new. One is a direct replacement for the stock plastic bowl. The other is the older type bottom drive, without the center column. This bowl kneads dough's very well , it has a totally different dough hook and does not except any of the other attachments. In other words it is a dedicated bread dough bowl.

There is also a third type of S/S bowl out there used. It is an even older type bottom drive bowl. I believe it will still work on the new universals. However, replacement parts for this older bottom drive bowl are discontinued and unavailable. Some food for  thought for you. Do your homework and learn a little about the Bosch especially if you buy used. Photo is of a huge batch of heavy enriched pumpkin cranberry raisin bread. The bocsh handles this formula and quantity with no issues at all.   Happy baking.

 Best of luck

Thanks - I'll look for that extender.  I just found and bought a used one locally with the baker's package. AND off eBay I bought (used) the stainless bowl (the one with the column in the center. I HAVE to have something like that for doing italian meringue icing.

So, my son who is turning 23 in a week will be gifted my KA mixer. We already got him a gift he asked for - a vacuum... Oh, the days of setting up a home!

I'm excited to test out the Bosch Universal. I have the Anskarum  (Grand-daddy version) too. I should do a side-by-side-side test, but I'm too busy or lazy - take your pick.

So, I had a little bit of fun money from selling some things and now I've used it all, but that was my play money and I used it for cooking gear!!!
