what kind of yeast are you

what kind of yeast are you using and how much post a formula for for info

in general you should be using no more than 1 oz of cake yeast for each pound of flour unless the dough is very rich like coffie cake then you can use a little more

dry yeast is about half that so 1/2 oz per pound of flour  add to much and you will get the yeast tast

Too much yeast

The usual reason for a yeasty taste is using too much yeast.

Less yeast and longer rises help reduce this.  How much less?  It's a matter of taste.  However, using a poolish you can make about 20 loaves of bread with a single packet of yeast.  And the breads will not taste yeasty.
