Sour Salt

I have recently started making sourdough bread. I bought a King Arthur starter and it is wonderful, but not particularly sour. I have been reading about adding sour salt to the dough. Has anyone had any experience with this product?

Sour salt

Yes, and be careful as a little bit is all you need. 1/8 to 1/4 tsp per loaf. It really isn't salt at all, but citric acid. You can buy it at any health food store.

Thanks for the info. I was going to order it from King Arthur, but I hate to pay for the shipping across country. I'm glad to know I can get it at a health food store. Is it a powder?
