Thinking about designing my own bread lame...

I want to design my own bread lame to solve my issues I have with the current lames on the market.. Anyone have any suggestions on improvements to the current available lames on the market?? My current issue is the handle being so short, so I feel like it's child size haha. I'd like a longer more sturdy handle.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

My personal preferences might not match with everyone else's, but I'd like a design that holds the blade secure and flat, not curved; leaves lots of blade protruding rather than covering up too much of it; and keeps fingers off the bread, perhaps by making it "offset" like that of an offset bread knife.

Another different idea: having the handle directly above the blade, using height instead of length to separate the fingers from the blade edge. (so that the handle is in the same orientation as a bench scraper's handle, but has more of a grippy surface to it)

-replaceable blade -- either a regular razor blade or an x-acto blade

-sanitizable

-left-handed or right-handed use

-flip cover integrated/attached (so it can't drop into the flour and be lost or get stepped on), or retractable blade, like a box cutter

(maybe just me? ability to change the orientation so you can slash sideways or perpendicular -- so blade at edge w handle at other end or blade in the middle like a bench knife, handle on top)
