King Arthur Free Baking Class in Portland, OR & across the US

I just happened to glance over the Food section of the Oregonian and saw that King Arthur is offering free baking classes Friday & Saturday, Feb 22 & 23.

Feb 22, Baker Carolyn Hack will be at Celebrate! Catering, 15555 S.W. Bangy Rd., Lake Oswego. 

  • 12-2PM Sweet and whole grain yeast bread      7-9PM Artisan loaves

Sat 23, Red Lion Hotel, 909 N. Hayden Island Dr., Portland, OR

  • 11-1PM Yeast breads                                     3-5 PM Crusty loaves

These are free and open to the public, no registration required. You'll receive free samples, recipes and a chance to win door prizes. For more info 800-827-6836

I forgot to say that they are doing this across the US. I just looked it up at the King Arthur site and they have classes in WA, OK and KS coming up. Dates, locations and times are given.

I attended the King Arthur class two weeks ago in Ft Lauderdale. Carolyn Hack was the instructor and it was a terrific class. Informative, and entertaining. I was surprised when close to 500 people showed up for the 7PM class. It is a fast two hours and there is time to ask questions. Lots of bread lovers and some "newbies" also to meet. Have fun.
