New unglazed quarry tiles

Now what?  Is there anything I'm supposed to do to them before using for the first time?  Any info will be very appreciated!

Put 'em in the oven and get baking!  I leave mine in all the time.  Supposedly they get harder over time, but they are quite breakable.  Good thing they are cheap.  I recently doubled my layer of tiles, and found the results well worth it. Have fun!
