transportable stone mill

Hello, I belong to a heritage equipment club on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. The group is composed of old equipment, tractor, engine and technique enthusiasts. One of the fundraising activities is selling freshly ground flour. I am new to the club, and am very interested in this, but the grinder that is being utilized I learned is technically for livestock feed. I would love to get a stone mill for the club that could be taken to different agricultural fairs and demonstrated. The club is used to transporting very heavy equipment, but does a mill like this exist? It would have to be powered either by an electric generator. Any suggestion?

Thanks, Fiona

that is a beautiful grinder, but ideally I would like one that people can see the stone wheels grinding. And less money I am hoping as with the exchange rate that is quite expensive for us..

That’s the one that popped into my mind since you are looking for something that is semi commercial. It is pricey though!

If i find something else, I’ll post here.

The only electric one I know of that you can see the stones is the Retsel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXd3ph-5tzU .  It is quite expensive new, and customer service is problematic at best.  http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/13572/retsel-pros-and-cons.

They also have manual versions, as do other makers, though it is a lot of work.
