I work in a bakery!
Finally, I work in a bakery. I mentioned this a while ago and I got hired for two days a week. (My regular full time job is a week-end job.) I just want to say that I am loving it! A couple hundreds of loaves passed through my hands today. Seriously, I am highly motivated. All the money I make is actually saved for buying a new oven (with baking stones inside.)
The oven is the master piece of the bakery! It is a brick oven, and can burn with wood, gasoil, coal. It currently uses gasoil. I will ask the baker if he allows me to take a pic, so maybe I can post it over here when I get permission to take one.
Most of the doughs are straight doughs. No sourdough, which is too bad. Also his baguettes are not that good. But that is about the only negative I could think of. I really love it over there and I consider myself lucky to have found such a great place to work. I hope to learn a lot and develop my skills.
