How to edit an Excel Spreadsheet using an iPad

I’m hoping there is a way to edit an Excel file on iPad without having to purchase any software. The only thing I can find is Office 365. It is not inexpensive.

I would like to be able to edit my formula spreadsheets on my iPad. As it stands now, if I want to edit my Total Dough Weight, that I need to make changes on my computer and the upload the file to the iPad.

Is the a cost free solution for this?

I have both Google Doc and Google Sheets. I am able to edits the doc but not the sheets (excel). Can you edit an excel file in Google Sheets?

Dan, it will always edit and save as Google sheet to your good drive, but there is an option to download the file as Microsoft Excel if needed.

I appreciate the help,

Dan

so I don't have access to the iPad Appstore, but I was able to download apps from Google play for all four of the Office functions (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) for free.  If the Appstore has those apps, it might work.

I did d/l MS 360 for free, but in order to use the app you need a paid subscription.

Any ideas?

Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook by name.  They were available as individual stand-alone apps that did not require a subscription.  The limiting factor might be the fact that you're using iOS, since Office was originally written for Windows.  Since I don't have iOS devices I'm afraid I can't offer much more.

I've actually created a free web app that you might find useful, it allows you to add/remove/update ingredients, dough weight, # of dough balls, etc. and create a URL to view/share your formula in the future. It isn't glamorous and is still a work in progress but is very much functional, you can check it out here. Mods, if advertising this is against the rules I sincerely apologize!

I took a look at your app. I looks very nice, but I have my own excel spreadsheet that I use.

Very nice app, though.

Thanks,

Dan

Thanks for the feedback Dan, I appreciate it. The remaining flour is represented in the levain. The way it's represented is as an individual ingredient, but the flour within is added to any other flours specified.
