Zulu King Cake Recipe
Hello! I am searching for a tried-and-true recipe for a Zulu King Cake. I have tried to Google and nothing comes up - recipe-wise. From what I can find out, this is a traditional King Cake with cream cheese, coconut and chocolate chip filling and chocolate icing with toasted coconut.
I would prefer a tried-and-true recipe but if none are available I will just start experimenting with a Brioche base.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

If you would like a recipe for a regular King cake to get you started, Emeril has a couple on the foodtv.com website. I have used his recipe for years out of one of his cookbooks and it is very good. I don't know the specifics of the Zulu type, but maybe that would get you started.
Hope this helps...

I posted a King Cake recipe here a couple years back. I'm unfamiliar with a Zulu King Cake though. Good luck finding it!

Like you I couldn't find a recipe, per se, but these match your description and might give you a few places to look into. I've used Emeril's recipe several times (twice this year...it is that season here in New Orleans) and I think it could be easily adapted to the differences. Hope these are of some help.
Not sure if we are allowed to post links, but I see a prior poster doing so. I'm trying this one tomorrow. Looks delicious!
