Portuguese Sweet rolls

I finally did it, upload successfully that is! I hope that with the reduced picture quality from being a smaller file, it doesn't take away from the look of their yumminess! I don't know how the people in magazines do it. My food photos never look as good as it does in real life like they do in the books. I am green with envy!

Thanks Audra

I found the recipe. Your planned sandwich sounds great. You must live in a warm climate to plan grilling. weavershouse

Audra the rolls are beautiful

Where did you get the recipe for these yummy looking rolls? I'd love to try them. Great job.            weavershouse

Thank you, and they were as good as they looked!

I'm not very high tech, so the picture got posted in 2 different places, but it was originally on the thread where I ask for help "A friend ask me to fix him a loaf of Jewish Rye Bread and I need more info". If you read down it just a little ways, Mark (mcs) responded and had a recipe posted on his bakery site thehometownbakery.com and I followed the link to his sight and the I found his recipe for Portuguese Sweet Bread and it had roll instructions also.....and since I had time on my hands waiting for the starter to do its thing!!! Anyway, they were great and with just a hint of sweetness, I told him that I'm already planning another batch and grill some chicken and do a Hawaiian chicken sandwich with grilled pineapple and maybe some thin sliced red onion. What do you think? I love to do bread, but what got me to bread was a love of rolls and doughnuts ( doughnuts which I have not mastered yet, but I have not given up) I do rolls a lot, 2 of my favorites are the brown Outback Steakhouse rolls, and parker house rolls with that sweet little pocket on the inside. Ha, I should weigh 300 pounds! Oh well, if you have trouble finding it let me know! Have a great New Years Day!
