Bread from my starter

Hello all:

This is the first loaf of bread that I made using my captured starter.  I will try and include a crumb shot below, but I am technically challenged so...

Couldn't figure it out.

your first sourdough loaf looks pretty good!  Congratulations!

It took me a while to figure out posting pictures myself and still not sure I'm doing it right but it works.  Takes about as long as starting a starter.  Lol  :)

the post stopped 1/4 of the way through.  I went back and tried again, only to discover that it posted each time....

now I'm trying to delete the duplicates.  any advise?

Looks like a great first loaf. Lovely crust and your starter is performing very well. Looking forward to many more.

Floyd will see it and delete accordingly.

it stopped downloading right in the middle so I just waited it out.  I've double posted before trying to rush the "Save" button.  Just contact Floyd and have him delete them.  If you bake him a loaf, he might even post a crumb shot over to this thread.

Was it here?  because I don't see any extra posts or are they showing up as new postings each time?  I'll go look at the front page...  be right back

EDIT   don't worry too much.  it is pretty obvious and only a little problem, it'll get fixed up in no time flat.  I don't have a golden key to correct things but you might be able to erase them.  if not the fresh loaf pixies with the golden keys will fix it.  Hope they leave one copy.  Some very good tips in there.   I think the posting picture info is up in the FAQ's at the top of the page.    I'm still putting pictures up on my dest top and using the little green tree symbol in the  comment choices header to do the uploading.

second edit....    I don't know if you can erase them but if you click on the page to pull it up, look at the top of the page above your avitar and see if there are little index tabs up there.... one may say "view" and another may say "edit".   click on "edit" and erase or change the page (can even change the picture as well.)

by several different TFL loafers, it will get erased as well.  I see you've replaced it already in the blogging section and it includes  the crumb shot.  But we don't want to lock you out as a spammer.  hahahaha!

the next step is easy...  Subject for the next comment  (the one and only great)  :  Floyd?

Ok, lets cheer him up a little, he's such a nice guy anyway but puts in long hard hours.

How about a bread joke?  Did you hear the one about the bread that spent a day in the refrigerator?  On warming up it said to the other loaf, "I feel so crummy."  The other loaf replied,  "that's 'cause you caught a chill."

ok, had to be there....   :)   He will most likely erase this thread because of my bad joke.

thankfully!

I sometimes can't decided between a blog post or a regular post... I think I'm going to choose the blog post and leave it at that.

Thanks for your help!

I tried to post on the forum and got a message that I'd triggered the spam filter!! Couldn't find how to contact Floyd and get unblocked, so went back to my post and tried again, and it worked....

and found a message thread to which he had contributed.  Then I clicked on his picture and was taken to his profile.  At the bottom was a link to send "this member" a private message.  I think it's like that for all of us.

You won't hit the spam filter any more.

That looks wonderful!  Beautiful "ear" and an awesome oven spring!  Would love to see some pics of the crumb but I suspect they will be just as good.  Well done friend :)  Keep on keeping on :)
