The strangest looking whole wheat sourdouh ever

Just the other day, Tuesday, I attempted another loaf without following a recipe, but rather the instinctive artisan intuition.

Well, this is the bun that popped out of the oven. It is my most successfull loaf ever, though the recipe will remain a family secret.

Merry Christmas,

Parousia

Er, Congratulations..?

Wow, I always thought that was a metaphor. I'm going to be A LOT more careful around my oven from now on...

(Adorable little bun. Is that a Blue Heeler acting as quality control?)

well, sort of.  blue heeler

well, sort of.

blue heeler mix. the mystery in the mix allows her to appreciate the artisan nature of the bread rather than being so serious and work oriented

Different results with gas or electric?

Of course it will, sweetie. You young mamas make me want to cry.

this was with a gas oven,

this was with a gas oven, cold start, but no steam

but indeed i am the artsy father...

his name is John-Mark 7lbs 4 ounces,

we felt given that John derives from hebrew meaning "YHWH is gracious", that when we

call his name, invoking the name of God would remind us continuously ever reverant

and thanfull for stewardship of a little one who's knitting together is numerically

incomprehensible and as beautiful as a nice open crumb.

Cold start, wow

Amazing you got results like that with a cold start. You must be quite the baker.

I'm not sure if young papas make me want to cry. They usually make me smile.
