Newbie here

Just found this forum and have been looking through it. Very excited to learn how to improve my baking. I'm relatively new at  baking. I would normally bake bread once or twice a year just for the fun of it, but was always disappointed with the results. I've been out to master pizza for several months now and I'm happy with what I have achieved. Its been through research for pizza that I realize my breads have never  been appealing because I add too much flour; my dough was never tacky. My next challenge is Kaiser rolls. While I am pleased with the results I achieve now, I'm striving to get that airy, light Kaiser roll that is found here in NJ. On that note, if anyone has any suggestions that can help me achieve an "East Coast Roll" Id very much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

John

Nice to have you on board.

When it comes to baking start off simple. Practice makes perfect so once or twice a year really isn't enough to perfect something. Bake regularly, pick a simple recipe and work at it. You'll get there.

Hope to see some Kaiser Rolls soon. Baked to perfection. The challenge is on!

Thank you. Ive been baking now about once a week for about 4 months. Ive also baked knotted rolls, which are pretty much the ssme as Kaiser. I found the difference in baking id adfing moisture with spritz bottle and a pan of water at the bottom of the oven

But here is a very good site https://www.weekendbakery.com/posts/kaiser-brotchen-kaiser-rolls/

Try this one and report back. Make notes of what went wrong (if at all) or right!
