I am sure I will give a try to it. I have to get first some dried pears or I can dry them at home just for this occasion.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful bread for Christmas time. I am living quite close to the origin of this loaf - just about 290 km away (air distance) more to the south east in Slovenia and our typical Slovenian holiday case is called "Potica". Will be baking "potica" this Friday or Saturday for the first time with SD levain instead of yeast. Have to publish the recipe.
