Flour Source in Toronto

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good source for flour in Toronto, Canada? I've been very pleased with Bob's Red Mill Organic, but the it often seems to go out of stock at the local whole foods'. I would prefer to find an online source for organic, all purpose flour, but am open to any recommendations.

Type "Toronto flour" (sans quotes) in the Search box, then click the Search button.  You'll get some helpful information about sources.

I've yet to visit their outlet store because it's never been convenient to do so, but earlier this year, I saw that this company in Scarborough offers a range of flours, both organic and not.

I get all of my flour and grains (10kg bags-I mill my own whole grain flour) from Ambrosia Natural Foods in Thornhill (Yonge and Steeles). Their main supplier is Grain Process and you can place a special order through Ambrosia's grocery department. It actually works out cheaper than going to the Grain Pro cash and carry outlet in Scarborough. If you Google "Grain Process Enterprises  pdf" you can find a listing of what they carry- lots of organic products if that's what you are looking for.

Hey

Try CIPM flour. It is available at Fiesta Farms on Christie south of Dupont. Grown in Hastings County north east of Toronto. Organic and stone ground. Their whole wheat, spelt and rye flour are great.

Also try K2 Milling (k2milling.blogspot.ca). K2 is based in Beeton Ontario about 1hr north of Toronto. Some specialty food stores may carry their flour. However, if you contact them directly they might mail your order directly to you. Their bread flour and spelt flour a great. They have lot of others as well.If you have time go visit the mill as well.

Hope this helps

Usually, I buy mustard powder DSF and flour from this spice company in Markham.
