Betsy's Seeded Oat Bread

This is out of one of the Artisan Bread in 5 minutes. I found the recipe online and decided to bake a couple of loaves for one of our local soup kitchen. I figured that it would be super healthy and filling with all of those seeds and oats in it.

I did substitute Robin Hood's Best For Bread multigrain flour for the wholewheat portion of it. Otherwise, I just followed the instructions as stated in the recipe. I was amazed at how much it rose during proofing. I baked it in a clay baker and slightly burned the bottom unfortunately, but I was able to rescue the loaf so it was presentable.

ETD If the picture is showing upside down, I have no idea why and I have tried flipping it several times.

The picture is upside down! Never mind, it looks great anyway!

Right now, it looks fine but last night, it was upside down on my computer and right side up on my phone. I guess TFL gremlins are at work.

and the folks there could use a nice loaf of bread that will be hearty and healthy.  Perfect for sopping up some soup or stew.  Very nice indeed.

Well done and happy baking.

Just tie a string around it so that you can pull it down from the ceiling when you need to use it.  ;-)

Oddly enough, the picture was right side when viewed on my iPad but is upside down when viewed on a PC.

I am pretty computer savvy and can't figure this one out. The orientation of the picture should be the same no matter the platform it is displayed on. All the Picts are taken with my iPhone and I reduce the size on my MacBook Pro for faster uploading before posting them otherwise I don't do any other editing.

ETA: Okay, I pulled the picture off my Facebook page rather than off my iPhone and it seems to have fixed the orientation.

!Is that recipe in the new book or the old one?  Unfortunately I am gluten free now and can't use that recipe

because it is a delicious bread. The recipe is out of the old book. It was given to me by a friend.

Have you tried making it with gluten free flour?

And how exciting to meet (figuratively) the author of this recipe!!! ?
