Schnitzer Cerealo

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has any information on the attached grain mill.  I have searched online without any success. I have seen alot of cerealo's but non with the stainless hopper & grind control knob on the side.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matthew

Available on Amazon... I don't know your budget, or if you are set on that brand, but this may help.  Good luck.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.  I am inquiring specifically to the model above as I am able to acquire on in fantastic nearly new condition for a great price.  Unfortunately the seller does not have any info on it as it belonged to his mother. I apologize for the picture size as that is all I had.  I am planning on picking it up this morning & will post some better pictures once I get it.

Thanks,

Matthew

Looks great.  Be sure to post a detailed review.  I read somewhere that some models of the Schnitzer were similar to the Komo, but not sure what models, and what the differences are.

1st test went well.  I tried to grind some hard wheat on the finest setting & the grinder got clogged.  I took it apart & cleaned out the stones.  Next attempt I backed it off slightly & it was fine.  Flour comes out at about 78 degrees.

I baked a test loaf in my Zojirushi  bread machine & my daughter opened the lid during baking & the loaf collapsed.  I have never had this happen before any ideas why this happened???

Apart from that the loaf came out fantastic.  I am really loving this grain mill!

Matt, no idea why the loaf collapsed, but keep us updated on the grinder.  Do you set it by turning it towards fine until you hear a ticking sound, then back off a little, or is there a different method?

Yes, that's exactly how I do it.

I have just received mine and I bought some extra stones also which I believe made things finer. I have the allen key but am finding it hard to open the nut as its too tight. Any suggestions from others with this machine?

I took it apart & you are correct; the bottom stone nut is very tight.  Please let me know how to remove it once you figure it out.

Hi,

Mine comes apart fairly easily.  Don't be afraid to give the nut a good tug.

Where did you purchase the stones?
