Nutrimill Harvest

I am considering the Nutrimill Harvest grain mill. It seems that it is related to or made by the Komo people. I do know that the mill stones are made in Germany. Any information on or impressions of this machine would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi there,

I don't know if you're still looking at grain mills since this post was from a while ago...

I too have been looking.  Up until yesterday I was all set to buy a Nutrimill Harvest.  I had one ordered since February, and it was set to be shipped out last Friday.  I talked to the lady I was buying from yesterday, and she said that the company pulled all the Harvest grain mills off store shelves, and nobody will be selling them until August 1st.  Apparently there was something wrong with the stone or stone mechanism.  I don't know what exactly.  I also don't know if they're recalling the ones already out there or not.

So, I still wanted a stone mill because they can go from fine to coarse.  I decided to get a Komo Medium mill instead.  It was quite a bit more expensive, but I hear they grind wonderfully.  They've also been around quite a while and come with a 12 year warranty.  Ii won't be arriving for at least another week, but after I try it, I can let you know what I think if you like.

If you already bought a Nutrimill Harvest, I would call the company and find out if the problem affects your mill or not.

Just thought you'd like to know in case you were still undecided.

Thanks

I already went to Breadropia, which is fairly close, 60 miles, and picked up a KoMo Fidibus 21 after seeing a demonstration. I'm really happy with it and have no complaints so far.

Good luck with your new mill.

Great!  I'm glad you're happy with it.  I can't wait to get mine!
