Azodicarbonamide in all whole wheat flour at grocery store other than the organic brand.

So last week I was looking for my usual Presidents Choice organic whole wheat flour at my local Loblaws.  I could not find it. So I thought I would get the other brands on the shelf.  To my shock I see that Five Roses, Robinhood and the No Name brand all contained azodicarbonamide! What a scam. Here I am thinking whole wheat is healthier! I did eventually find the organic President's Choice whole wheat Flour in the Organic section of the store. It only contains whole wheat flour.

One one hand it's good that your package labelling shows it present to enable you to make an informed choice. Over here flour companies do not need to mention statutory additives ie. vitamins & minerals in white flour although some are starting to do so, and bread companies do not need to mention "processing aids" - stuff added during processing but not contributing to the final product.

Azodicarbonamide aka. E927 is banned in food in Europe.
