Culinary School Graduate seeking employment , NJ/NYC

Recently obtained and Associates in Arts, Baking/Pastry degree.  Unable to find work because of no Bakery experience although I did 600 hrs in a bakery as an apprentice.  That does not count.  Can anyone help with suggestions?

Desperately seeking to fulfill my passion, baking bread and pastries.

Thank you for your help.  I checked the website and the openings are in states I do not reside in.  In order to join you have to pay.  Thanks so much.

I know it is probably below your capability but it will put experience on your resume.

The Culinary School you graduated from should have been able to offer some help to you on this?

You say in your post  "Unable to find work because of no Bakery experience" - I am guessing you were told that by the people you applied to work for, so, my suggestion would be to ask them what experience they would accept and then try to get that experience.

If my guess is incorrect, and you haven't actually applied to anyone, then try asking the folks you would like to work for what they require.

Hope you get what you wish for.

Thank you for your advice Brian, I appreciate your input.  They are looking for someone who has already worked in a bakery before, not one who just started.  My concern is why even have me trail, I guess they are not reading my resume which clearly states I have not worked in any bakery only did apprentice in bakery.  I want to learn different baking skills from someone else or I would return to the old bakery

Try offering them a period where you will work for free, so they can judge your skill level for themselves - no risk to them, and an opportunity for you to show off your hard earned skills.  Make it short - a couple of days or a week, and go from there.
