This is my loaf of...
Thom Leonard's Country French from Artisan Baking...
My thanks to all of you here - there is much inspiration in what you post and show your triumphs in your kitchens. I've learned much in a few weeks and look forward to sharing more of my own baking.





Oh boy! You've got my appetite going now. That is one pretty loaf!
That loaf looks great! Is it a two kilo one? I've JUST returned from a week in Northumberland and it's got me wanting to bake - again!!

The formula calls it 4 pounds. It's much less now...makes incredible toast. I was worried about that dark brown crust...I thought it might have been burned...not at all...it's got amazing flavor.
