rising difficulties

So last night I made bread, just like the last loaves. All the ingredients were weighed out with precision and I got a good dough. Nice windowpane test and everything. I weighed out the dough and divided it in two and put it in identical pans. Here's what's weird, when it rose in the pans one pan rose 1/2in higher than the other and probably would have gone higher but I had them in pullman pans which have lids to make square loaves. They were the same dough the same weight and right next to each other throughout the process. What went wrong??
