hi all,

i am not sure if this is the right place to ask but i am having trouble with my bread machine bread.  it rises beautifully.  smells great when its cooking, tastes wonderful.  but no matter how well it rises when it is finished the top has fallen and i am left with a one and a half pound loaf of bread with a dip at the top.  can  anyone tell me what i am doing wrong?  thanks lydia

but compare with other recipes and run this question through the site search box.  There have been many discussions on the subject.  One suspicious cause is a tiny bit too much yeast.  Try searching: bread machine loaf falling  or Can a bread machine over proof?

Haven't had this happen myself but according to the Zojirushi troubleshooting guide try, in this order:

Decrease yeast 1/8-1/4 tsp.

Decrease liquid 1-2 tbsp

Increase flour 1-2 tbsp

Increase salt 1/4 tsp
