Congrats. That is exciting. I *love* it when your bread crackles like that coming out of the oven. I just stumbled across this picture:
Which I don't think I ever posted, because it isn't that good a photo, but it was me and my son listening in to some rolls that were making a TON of crackling sounds.

The next morning I made french toast from the baguettes. It was fabulous! Another good use for day old bread. :-) ~Eri
