Old Kitchen Aid stand mixer

Hi all,

My mom has had my great grandmother's kitchen aid mixer for as long as I can remember and has never had a bowl to use with it. This year we decided to replace the missing bowl but I am kind of at a loss of where to look. I saw on another thread that not all of the new bowls will fit the old models (which makes perfect sense.) My question is this: Where would you reccomend I look to have the best bet at finding a compatible bowl. Unfortunately, at this time I do not have the model number. Thanks!

I just did a quick google search and found lots of possibilities.  Good luck as I have heard that some of the older machines are very good. Patrick

Can you tell us its age?  or its serial number?  You might find what you need through onesharpstore.com.  Their website lists a phone number which, in my experience, was answered by immensely knowledgeable and helpful people.

Unfortunately, I don't know what year it is or have the serial number. It is in Georgia with my mother and for multiple reasons hasn't had the time to really look for a model/serial number. Once I do get that information I will definitely look at the link you provided. Thanks!

Dont need year or serial number,   towards the back of the head is the model number.. on either the left or right side.      Odds are you have a ks45ss or 4.5 quart mixer if its that old.  Mine is from 1980, and is the 4.5 qt.

If the model is Ks45 its 4.5 qt, If its ks5, its a 5 qt, etc etc.
