How do I get an internship

I am a 24 year old baker from the Bahamas. I recently finished an intensive baking course at the american institute of Baking in manhattan, Kansas. I learned a great deal about the science of bread baking, but upon returning home the Bahamas there isnt any place that can build upon the knowledge I have received. As a result I am asking if anyone can assist me with either obtaining, or by giving me tips to get an internship at an artisan bread shop. Thank you very much for reading this forum.

Hello BahamaBaker

First, congratulations on your training! It gives alot of hope knowing that there are still those interested in the art of bread baking! I have been baking about 37 years, but never like what I have learned on here! This is an amazing community! Now to my point....there is a gentleman who is having to reorganize his life, move to another city and start a new bakery. Mark has had lots of interns before so he may be interested in having you....it may not be right away, but, I have posted a forum newsfeed for you so you may contact him. Good luck with your internship! I think it is wonderful!

I too have looked through alot of his videos and have learned more than I can tell you! He has had interns in the past and may very well want your assistance setting up his new Bakery "Sinclairs". Do contact him if you get a chance! That would be great for BOTH of you!
