Need help finding bread type
HI! For years I've been searching for a bread recipe but have no clue what the bread actually is! I had it years ago...the baker of the bread told me at the time it was an "egg bread". I remember it being very soft and squishy....tasted great! (Obviously it stayed with me all these years!! Lol. I don't recall the color but can anyone help me figure out what it may be? I'd love to try to recreate it! Thank you so much in advance ill take any and all suggestions!

Do a Search for "Challah" - that could easily be the bread you're looking for.

Hmm interesting! Ill give that a try to day thanks! It didn't have raisins so ill leave those out ;) ill take any other thoughts as well! I don't mime making all that yummy bread! lol
Brioche is an "egg bread", and there are several types of brioche that differ primarily in the amount of butter that's included in the formula.
Russian Orthodox Christian societies bake an Easter Bread (Kulick) that is also an egg bread.
Challah, baked in either a free formed braided loaf or bread pan is also an egg bread.
Thank you for the input!! I made challah last night and it tasted food bit was Dry. How can I avoid this in the future? I like much "squishier" Bread ;)
Sorry that was it tasted fine but was a bit Dry lol
