I have the dough fermenting on the counter and realize I don't have the right size pot. I have a 4qt cast iron chicken fryer and I have an 8qt aluminum Dutch oven. Can I use either of those?
So long as there is no handle that might be damaged by the high temp you can use either one.
If you didn't make a huge batch:-) An 8 qt boule is pretty big ad miht be a record :-)
