HOBART KITCHENAID MIXER EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ALL ATTACHMENTS
Kitchenaid HOBART (i.e. it can actually handle dough kneading) Mixer in excellent condition. Comes with bowl shield, paddle & whisk attachments, and dough hook, plus 5 quart stainless steel mixing bowl. Photos are available upon request.
Beautiful off white color with very few blemishes. Simply stated it’s a workhorse. Lack of counter space near an outlet and a recent lumbar disc herniation make it necessary for me to say goodbye to this reliable and favored member of my appliance family.
$200 plus shipping (to be determined based on your location) takes it. Anyone in or near Orange County, NY, is welcome to pick it up and save on shipping.
I am so sad to see it go, and look forward to giving it a good home where it will be used and appreciated.

In my book, older is better. Any idea?
That looks like a K5SS (indicated by the "Solid State" written on the side). According to Leolady's blog (http://leoladysw.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html), the K5SS replaced the K5-A in 1978. I'm not sure when the Hobart name was removed from the mixers after Whirlpool bought that division, but the sale occurred in 1986. If it was removed right away, that would make the mixer between 34 and 26 years old.
My slightly smaller K45SS is still going strong at 28 or 29 years (not sure which), so they were definitely built to last back then. It would be nice to have that extra 1/2 quart, but I'm not complaining. :)

...since I inherited it, but the Hobart stamp is clearly indicated on the model. It also has the bowl lifter not the tilt head if that helps. Here is a photo to give you an idea..
Isn't she a beauty...?
That's nice. Wish I lived nearby.
It will go fast.
I sent you an email... although I wasn't sure if it's lcatania@frontiernet.com, lcatania@frontier.net, or lcatania@frontiernet.net. In any case, let me know if this is still available. I'm located in Northern NJ.
