Grinding Grain in Vita-Mix Dry Container

Hello.  I am looking for anyone who uses the Vita-Mix dry container for "milling" their grains.  I know this isn't the best option for a mill, but it's what I have for the moment.  Hopefully I will be able to afford a better mill sometime soon.  But in the meantime I am wondering if anyone has encountered the problem of "fishy" tasting flour.  In the instances this has happened I have used the grain right after grinding it and barley was in the mix both times.  I am not sure if I am letting the grains grind too long in an effort to achieve a fine grind or if the barley I have is bad.  I don't think it is the latter as I have cooked it whole several times without encountering that terrible flavor.  Any thoughts or experiences from others using this container would be tremendously helpful.  Thank you :)
