Opinions needed!

Dear everyone,

For several years I've been working on a book about bread-making, less from the standpoint of individual recipes than the underlying principles, science and history.

Although not quite complete, I've posted the finished sections as pdfs on my website, and I would really appreciate any comments and feedback from contributors to these forums. I've been working in a bit of a bubble and I would really benefit from other  people's opinions.

You can download individual chapters from www.flourandwater.co.uk

Many thanks,

Neil

Neil,

I just started reading the preferment section, this really looks like an excellent resource. Thanks so much for sharing this with everyone. Incidentally, I'm a software developer and have a bit of expeience in the publishing industry (technical experience). If you need any help maintaining this resource I'd love to participate. I think an e-book version might be popular.

Nate,

Thanks for your comments. I had been thinking about doing a Kindle version once its finished, but I have to admit that the whole e-book thing is very new to me. My main problem has been search engine optimisation - I'm struggling without success to get Google etc. to locate my site and get some traffic.

Regards,

Neil

Neil,

I just read all of the available chapters and I am very impressed!  I found it to be informative and interesting to read - you cleared some things up that have been puzzling me.  This is definitely a book I would like to have in my baking library!  Thank you for sharing!

Cami,

I'm really glad you like it. I've just started a blog also - it's early days, but I hope in the coming year this will grow to complement the book itself.

Thanks,

Neil
