Bernard Clayton Jr. "The Breads Of France" Type-o ?

Hello Everyone!

Maybe someone can help me. I can't find any references online to the three typographical errors in this book. Does anyone know if this was an occurence in all the printings of 1978? It should be simple enough, but I have not been able to find a thing about it. I appreciate any help or direction!

It's not that I doubt you, it's just that I recently purchased a copy of the book and have yet to hear about or recognize any typos. There have been some questions in my mind about his volume measurements when I try to convert them to metric measurements. Unless Mr Clayton loved to work with really slack dough, I suspect that he wasn't considering his cups of water to weigh 237g but somewhere around 225-227G.

Would you please take the time to point them out to me? I'm about to launch into another one of the loaves from the book and would greatly appreciate knowing where the literary landmines lie.

Could you check the pages in your book and see if they are corrected?

(I will take a quick photo of the paper and figure out how to post it.)

I just re-read your original post before starting to reply. My copy is a paperback 1986 Collier Books edition. It does have all the corrections that were listed in the photo you posted. Should you have more questions about possible errors in your original, I'll be glad to help by checking my  paperback copy.
