Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
I just couldn't help posting it.
Don't quite know what a triangle has to do with a lover's holiday... Threesome? Sounds progressive...
4 somes or 5 somes were considered progressive today ? Still the Egyptians were very big on triangles and look what it got them...... I think there is a very nice heart in that bread somewhere, once you get past that fancy slash.
I love crispy crusts!
(at least that I can see in the loaf) was accidental. But it was a very tasty loaf with a nice crispy crust and nice open crumb. It is one of my favorites. I call it "David's Miche", the formula is here: http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/21644/miche-hit. Thank you, Dave!
Here is a detail of the crumb.
bread! Great crust and crumb. The eye in the middle of the triangle, with the triangle in the middle of the orb and the orb in the middle of a heart - is a bit spooky for first timers but how far away can holloween or a freemason be? Very attractive bread. Did David know his Minche was a foresome bread ? :-)
and should not get hidden under the topic of St. V day!
