hello, I am a new member to the site. looks great! I am searching for locally milled grains and baking products in the Phoenix/Tucson area.
I buy whole organic berries from Whole Foods and non organic from Sprouts in Phoenix and organic from the Co-Op on 4th street in Tucson (across from Lindy's- the best burger place in AZ) and then mill my own.
You will find everything you need in there and more. It will be worth your trip from Phoenix. She sells all kinds of grains in 1 pound bags and 50.
and didn't know about Shar's
They pretty much have everything you need, plus they are a Bosch dealer and have classes. The one thing they do not have is brotforms and proving baskets of any kind. I picked up some Barley Malt for bagels.
I still have to go there, I bought my brotforms from Stratton sales. Com for around $18/ each.
If you want to buy something from Shar's, especially anything that is costly. Your best bet is to take a class. She often gives an extra amount off
for the people in her "free" classes on items "that she uses". . I have to warn you though, she is a excellent sales woman and pushes her goods during the class..
I'm not impressed with her sourdough bread. Kathy in Gilbert
