Thanks for that one great loaf !

Hi, i am so happy to stumble into your site! bought a new microwave -convection oven and was all excited to bake my own bread. tried out a recipe from one of the you tube videos but made many mistakes and got even more confused with various types of flours used in bread, which are not available in india, thats when i came across this web site. And thanks a ton , as my first loaf came out pretty well. In this bread recipe the only extra thing that was added was 1/2 tsp of brown sugar and 1/2 tsp of vegitable oil. I hv even clicked a picture as it makes me so happy to learn that i have over come the fear of baking a  bread.

it can be challenging to adapt recipe ingredients to what's available in your home country. When I moved from Germany to the US I realized that the flour types are quite different.

In the beginning it is a lot trial and error (my first loaves were all dense, hard "bricks"), but baking your own bread is fun, and you will learn from your mistakes.

Happy baking,

Karin
