Electrolux Verona/Magic Mix mixer

Has anyone used this mixer in Australia?  I am investigating the voltage, 50Hz 230V made for the European market and would like to know whether I can use this electrical output in Australia with a transformer or is it more complicated than that?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Assuming the item you are referring is for use at 230V/50Hz, it would seem you'll be fine as according to this table on wikipedia that's what the Australian system is. Suggest you call your power company to double check. You'll likely need to change the plug to fit the Australian outlets.

Thank you for the information!!!

Also, I was wondering if you knew whether it matters if the european plug is not earthed, it only has a two pin plug?  All Australian plugs have an earth pin or a ground pin, that is, a three pin plug, the third one is to ground the machine.

Thanks and regards,

G'day ! no problems at all. I took over a number of Australian hair dryiers and computers to Europe and just changed the plug over without any issue at all. And Visa versa we have 240v so the difference between Aussie and European is not an issue. We have a mixture of two and three pinned plugs in our place here in Aus,

hope this helps

Hi,

It's not a problem at all, just have to change the plug to the Aus local type (available in any retailer or hardware store.) Even though there is no 3rd earth wire, will still work 100%.
