Thought I'd throw this out especially since that fellow was trying to make his own. These seem great for the home baker.
Myself I've got a full-size one, but I haven't quite moved into my new bakery so it isn't hooked up yet.

That's pretty neat and scary
That's pretty neat and scary at the same time.
They're awesome.
We had an old diving-arm mixer in the bakery in Germany. We used it exclusivley for "Schwarzbrot". The gentle kneading action was ideal for mixing the cracked rye and molasses dough.

I thought that mixer looked
I thought that mixer looked pretty agressive and would imagine it would heat the dough through friction. I may be all wrong on that but I have never seen that type of mixer at that speed.

One Question?
What does the bottom of the diving arm look like?
Wild-Yeast
Hockey Stick
It's shaped very similar to the bottom end of a hockey stick.
