I'm running out of ideas on how to re-create my favorite treat, dutch butter rolls from Pella, IA. I've tried a sweet brioche type dough as well as a danish dough with no luck. Has anyone ever heard of these. They are like a dense, flat, non-sticky sticky bun with a powderd sugar glaze and the best treat. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

I know this is very very late, 2011 :-p but if you are still listning... it is called 'koffiebroodjes' in dutch, you might find a recipe or if you really want to i can look it up for you and translate, my girlfriend made them sometimes, she is more into the pastery ;-)
