Hi all,

Just found this site and it's looking great! I've been baking for about ten years now, nothing professional, though my mother obtained master-status and taught me a lot. Now I just bake for family and friends. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Bay area baking

Hello Rane008,

Just a heads up to let you know that Stan Ginsberg will make a stop in Santa Rosa on his book promo tour for Inside the Jewish Bakery. His presentation will ba at Congregation Shomrei Torah on February 19, probably early afternoon. If that's within driving distance for you, mark it on the calendar. I don't know about any other Bay Area presentation at this time, but maybe something will come up.

We have a small group of baking enthusiasts who meet every other month in our neck of the woods; it's so great to have fellow bakers to share with. This web site is so wonderful as well. Lucky you to have learned at your mom's knee!
