Seeking opionion on home breadmaker

Hi folks,

I'm prepared to buy a home breadmaker.

I read many postings some opinion against the home breadmaker.  The bread made on it having no taste at all.  The quality of bread made is far worser than that of the bread purchased in bakery.

My personal thinking;
A breadmaker is only an appliance providing kneading and baking functions.  The quality of bread made on it largely depends on experience, ingredient composition, kneading and baking time.  It would be wrong.

I'm now at road-cross hesitating whether I should purchase this appliance.  If finally it turns out to be no use at all.  I have to finding a space to keep it.  Spending 1~2 hours each day to prepare bread is not my wish.  I would prefer to get bread from bakery.

Any advice before I finalize my decision.  TIA

A further question can following appliance be used for baking bread?
Flavorwave Oven Turbo;

Buy a couple of them for $10 on eBay/Craigslist. If you like them, consider buying a more recent model.

They were very popular 20 years ago. As a consequence, you can find many of them for very cheap on eBay or Craigslist.

(Note. A lot of people use them just for kneading, preferring to shape and bake loaves in an oven).

and have been using it for years. Overall pretty happy w/ it. Try and get a used one, if you can.

Hi folks,

Thanks for your advice.

My problem here is I don't have an electric oven but microwave oven which can't bake bread.

I'm now considering Kenwood BM450 breadmaker:-

After having built up my experience on bread making, maybe finally I'll replace the microwave with an electric oven but NOT the conventional type.
