Glad to see you back Bassplayer, and with such a triumphant return! That sandwich demands respect, and so do your baking skills! :)

Thanks!

Arlo,

Thanks!  It's nice to be back and baking again...  The sandwich is tops, and will be had for dinner again tonight, but on baguette that I baked early this morning...

Cheers!

Yummy!

The loaf looks fantastic!  Great bold bake!

...and look how it folds so nicely around the fillings!  Moist crumb!

I just realized I could be throwing some of my underdeveloped squash seeds into the dough.  I picked my patch and there are always a few light colored younger squash that didn't mature.  I cook them first before they can spoil.  I have been chucking the seeds, but now... they're going into the next loaf, chopped up.

Is that walnut bread in the background of that last shot?

Thanks Mini!

Thanks Mini!  It turned out very well...  And yes, that is walnut date bread in the background...  I didn't eat it fast enough, so I made croutons out of it for crunching on...

That is beautiful bread.  It had me ooohing and aaahing.  Excellent crust and crumb.  It doesn't get much better than that.  Great fillings, too.

Beautiful!

Your bakes have a classic style to them, that I love.  I can look at your breads and know they belong to you...love the rustic looks.

They have a beautiful shape, crust and crumb and look so delicious.  Wonderful photo's of such delicious sandwiches!  Nice work as always!

I love the look of your loaves.  Reminds me of a planet somehow - the varying shades of color and the flour intermingling with all the underlying hues as though it is sunlight dancing across their surfaces...very attractive and inviting!

I also like your shots of how you dressed it all up before sending it to it's doom  eating it.
